The annual Baird Chamber of Commerce "Hunter's Supper" will be held November 5th at the Hanner Chevrolet Super Center on I-20 in Baird at 7 pm.  All hunters and land owners are invited to attend.

Here is a schedule of the days exciting events.  A fun day for the whole family!




7:00 AM   5K Fall Fest Run

9:00 AM   Entries in Antique Car/Motorcycle Show

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Museum open.   Museum Gift Shop featuring Old Baird Photos DVD’s , T-shirts, engineer caps, train prints, train whistles and Callahan County History books

Day long activities on Market Street.   Street vendors, car show, Wild West re-enactors and train rides.

10:00 AM   Flag Ceremony on the Courthouse lawn. Victory fly-over by the Commemorative Air Force. Tour of Historical Markers on courthouse lawn

10:30 AM   Car/Motorcycle judging

11:00 AM - 2:00 PM   Baird Volunteer Fire Department Hamburger feed

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM    12th Armored Division Museum exhibit




2:12 PM    Anniversary Ceremony in front of the T&P Depot, Karl Kamatsu, restoration architect, the featured speaker, followed by refreshments and museum tours

4:00 PM    Wildfire Blues Fest begins at the Arches on Market St. featuring the Blues Slobs Band. No admission charge, bring your lawn chairs, coolers are allowed ( no glass containers)


5:00 PM    Chili Supper sponsored by the Baird Chamber of Commerce. Uncle ‘T’s” chili, crackers and orange soda, 112 Market St.

5:30 PM    Railroad Employees and Families Recognition. Steve Goen, author, featured program on the Texas & Pacific.
Baird Activity Center, 200 Walnut St. Featuring a 6:30 ice cream social during the intermission.



7:30 PM      Wildfire Blues Fest continues featuring Ray Reed of Dialtone Records.

9:30 PM     Blues Jam Session until “the last note is played”

This promises to be a fun day for the entire family. For vendor information, call Nan at 325-854-1150. Fund raising groups are welcome!

BAIRD MARKET DAYS
9:00 to 5:00 p.m.

In addition to the number of antique dealers here in the "Antique Capital of West Texas", there will be street vendors from all over the area, an open car and bike show, and great food! Our super VFD will be doing a cookout! On the 11, the T & P Depot will be hosting an ISA Antique Appraisal Fair. If you have a question about a family heirloom or yard sale find, bring your item to the Tea Time Appraisal! Only $20.00 per item. Seating is limited, so get your tickets now!  For more information, call 325-854-1756. A few vendor spaces are still available. RV and Motel accomodations available in Baird and Security will be provided.

We are planning a big salute to the many troop trains that stopped in Baird. A 1940’s theme with vintage cars, vintage dress and good boogie woogie music! Watch for more details!
